relationships.    --BBBS of the Capital Region Mission Statement

Other ways to help:

Many of our donors or volunteers have resources outside of financial contributions.  If you're not quite sure if being a Big Brother or Sister is right for you and you’re not in a position to help financially, this section is for you...

If you would like to help in the office, we can always use data entry, filing, and other administrative assistance as well as technical and professional skills. Contact This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it  to find out more.

Another way to get involved is to volunteer on one of our various activity and planning committees. We are always looking for interested people to share their experience and talents. To find out more about our various committees or other ways to get involved, contact us at 717-236-0199 or contact This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

We hold various agency-wide fundraisers throughout the year, and you can participate either directly or as an event sponsor. For example, you could become a Team Captain and form a team for Bowl For Kids' Sake, our biggest fundraiser of the year or maybe you have some time and could help the day of  Bowl For Kids Sake at the registration table.

Two other fundraising opportunities include the Kipona Festival (held Labor Day weekend along the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg). For "fun down by the riverside," we rely on and greatly appreciate the support of our volunteers, Littles and families in staffing tents during Kipona. This event is a favorite for Bigs and Littles.

On the other hand, if golfing is your game, you could volunteer to help during  our annual Golf For Kids' Sake Classic in September. Contact This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it for any event information.

We also have activites or outings through the year.  If you would like to be part of planning an activity or if you are able to donate tickets or outing resources, please contact This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
